And if you look closely, you will discover a variety of native forest animals and the typical vegetation of a nutrient-poor, sandy soil: oak-hornbeam communities with individual linden, ash, maple, and elm trees, as well as occasional mixed stands of beech and pine.

For joggers, Hotel Bischofshol is the perfect starting point for some of Hanover\u2019s most interesting running routes. For example: 12 km from Bischofshol around the Maschsee and back (without the Maschsee loop: 6 km).
