Bischofshol and surroundings
Our hotel and beer garden are located in the very heart of Hanover’s green oasis – the Eilenriede. Did you know? Hanover boasts the largest urban forest in Europe, covering an area of 659 hectares – even Hyde Park in London and the Bois de Boulogne in Paris can’t compete with that. With a network of around 42 kilometers of trails, ponds, sunbathing lawns, children’s playgrounds, fitness paths, sledding hills, shelters, and of course our Hotel Bischofshol, the Eilenriede meets all the needs of those seeking relaxation.
And if you look closely, you will discover a variety of native forest animals and the typical vegetation of a nutrient-poor, sandy soil: oak-hornbeam communities with individual linden, ash, maple, and elm trees, as well as occasional mixed stands of beech and pine.
For joggers, Hotel Bischofshol is the perfect starting point for some of Hanover’s most interesting running routes. For example: 12 km from Bischofshol around the Maschsee and back (without the Maschsee loop: 6 km).
Die ZAG– und die Heinz von Heiden-Arena sind mit der S-Bahn direkt zu erreichen!
